The vineyards are planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah grapes.

Bodegas y Viñedos Casa del valle entered the Castilla-La Mancha winemaking scene through the Bodegas Olarra Group. In this new winery, the Riojan group is working to get the classification of "Vino de Pago", or Terroir wine, inherited from the culture of the French Châteaux. Thus, in Bodegas y Viñedos Casa del Valle, tradition, technique and know-how are united in the aim of obtaining the best grapes and of guaranteeing the process of making exceptional wines from the outset.

The starting point for the creation of this new bodega in Castilla-La Mancha was the acquisition of the Finca Valdelagua estate in Yepes (Toledo) by the Bodegas Olarra Group. With their know-how, the most advanced technology and three decades of winemaking experience in Rioja, the wine group's technical experts started to implement this major project in 2000.

The bodega is surrounded by 100 hectares of new vineyards growing the Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah varieties, chosen for their great suitability for ageing and their well-defined personality and character.

Bodegas y Viñedos Casa del Valle market their wines under the Acantus brand with the Geographical Indication of "Vino de la Tierra de Castilla". The range of young Acantus label wines are a prelude to the higher quality wines which will be produced in this bodega.
